FIRST STEP:

Yesterday I wrote about getting back on track
here is the result:
FIRST STEP:
Yesterday I hope was a milestone
In my life.
I desperately need to get on track,
Ending a bad spell of tears and strife.

I DID get to the hairdressers,
had it cut, coloured and styled.
Felt and looked a different woman
As I arrived home happy but tired.

During the evening,
In the mrror I did see.
I swore the mirror had a smile,
Believe it or not the smile came from me.

One can't control the advancing years,
But one can certainly hide the hair of grey.
I'm feeling better already.
Is what I'd like to say.

There are some other things
I want to achieve.
But am taking things slowly is the best policy
That I must believe.

Already feeling more positive,
Today I've laundry to do.
That will take some considerable time,
Times sitting down will be few.

The only thing I feel concerned about,
Is the health issues of my son.
I can't seem to get away from those,
But there again I'm his mum.

I recall some advice I read
In a book by Paul.
"Dont Worry About Things That may not Happen
Or Things one Can't Control"

With this in mind I'll look forward,
To future happy days.
As already mentioned I'll take this slowly,
Acting in haste never pays.

TRYING TO GET BACK ON TRACK:

TRYING TO GET BACK ON TRACK:
Having fallen by the wyaside,
Back on track I aim to be.
I've had so many kick starts,
How I want back the "Old Me".

Jist when I think I'm progressing,
It's like one step forward two steps back.
Well, today I aim to start again,
To get on the right track.

One thing I aim to do,
The hairdresser I must see.
With this horrible arthtitis in my arms,
My hair needs doing despairately.

It all depends if the hairdresser
Has any free appointments.
I will phone him when he's open,
To spare me any disappointments.

One can only try  I suppose,
To get the life and person you want to be.
But it's all down to one person.
That one person being ME.

HAPPY NEW WEEK:

WELCOME DECEMBER:

WELCOME DECMBER:
Well here we are December is here.
With the coldness this month do bring.
But should you venture out to the shops,
Christmas songs you will hear sing.

There seems to be a magic in the air,
As one goes merrily around.
Lights that decorate the streets,
And the touch of frost on the ground.

Have a great Saturday today,
If Christmas shopping you go.
I have all mine done and dusted.
With all the love in my heart to show.

WELCOME DECEMBER AND SATURDAY:

GOODBYE NOVEMBER

GOODBYE NOVEMBER:
Today we say goodbye to November,
Tomorrow we commence the last month of the year.
It dosen't seem possible,
How quickly time flies I fear.

I hope your November,
Has been joyous throughout.
Mine has had it's ups and downs,
You can be sure without a doubt.

It's very cold but bright today,
So a quick walk may be had.
I do have some shopping to get,
Without food I would be sad.

Have a lovely Thursday,
I'll see you in December.
Each day is a new start in life.
Is something we must remember.

BLOGGING KEEPS ME GOING:

 BLOGGING KEEPS ME GOING:
If it wasn't for blogging,
I'd be entirely alone.
No-one most days to converse with.
No-one to phone.

The friends in "Blogland"
Are a joy to behold.
I never thought my life would reach this state,
Now that I'm getting old.

Each day I get comments,
From here and across "The Big Pond".
It's as though between us
There's a special bond.

So thank you one and all.
My appreciation I send.
When life gets tedious.
My broken heart you mend.
Thanks.

KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOUR:

KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOUR:
Last Friday being the loving mother I am,
Decided to help my daughter and son.
I sent them some cash through the post,
To help with winter heating costs....what fun.

I wrapped up warm with scarf and gloves,
To avoid the frosty air.
Walked to the post office and posted said letters,
Came home without a care.

It was cold in my apartment on reaching home,
The electric fire was a must.
I switched it on.......it went bang.
It had blown  boy, didn't I cuss.

A few hours later I happened to see
The gentleman who lives below.
I told him of my plight
After he said "Hello".

He came to view the sad fire,
Took it to his apartment to test.
An hour later returned with a smile on his face,
He plugged it in with jest.

He used to be a handyman,
And had some new bars for the fire.
If I didn't feel like kissing him then and there
Then I would be a liar.

The fire works perfectly,
My "Knight In Shinning Armour" made it so.
There are some kind people around,
And one right under my nose.
