YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE THIS.......

YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE THIS....:
Yesterday started wonderfully,
Went out for a brisk walk.
Saw many visitors along the way.
Some stopped to have a talk.

I then arrived home,
Rubbish had to be discarded.
Went out to the trash bin.
Then a terrible Sunday started.

My Iphone fell to the ground,
As I disposed of my trash.
The front was truly shattered,
Many thoughts in my mind did flash.

What will I do without my phone,
Should an emergency arise.?
Visions of many situations,
Went before my eyes.

I then went out and bought a new one.
The trouble I had setting it just right.
I returned to the shop,
And told them of my plight.

One kind young man assisted me,
As much as he possibly could.
I then returned home
Wondering why was my head like wood.?

It took all day would you believe.
A few things still not quite right.
But I was so relieved to go to bed
And hopefully sleep through the night.

  1. Oh dear, not a restful weekend, sorry to hear it. But you're not incommunicado - thank goodness for that!

One gets strangely attached to the gizmos even while one dislikes being a slave to them, always a wrench to lose one. And not being able to reach people kind of freaks one out totally.

Hope the week will go better.

    Best wishes always.

    1. Thank you Nilanjana, it certainly was a stressful week-end then we had a power cut for a few hours today.

Hope you have an enjoyable week.

  2. So sorry about your phone. Even more distressing because of how expensive they are to buy now. Hope today is a better day. And great poem!

    1. If yesterday was bad Natalia then today could be worse.
A hurricane is about to sweep Ireland and the UK TODAY.
      Thanks for coming by.

  3. Nothing worse than a smashed cell phone. Hope it's working properly now.
I just pulled up the radar. You really do have a hurricane headed your way. Stay safe and stay inside.

  4. Sorry to hear your phone got broken, it's surprising how much we rely on them and how we don't realise it until something gets broken. And they can cost so much to replace too - that's one reason why I just use an old cheap and simple Nokia.

    1. I'm beginning to agree with your way of thinking about phones, they used to be so simple. Thanks Tigermouse for your visit.

    1. Would you believe N. Ireland here in the UK are having a hurricane and we have very high winds where I am, also the most horrible weather altogether.

Thanks for your best wishes, much appreciated Beverly.

  10. Ouch! I hate setting up a new phone or computer. I had my new computer for four days before I took it out of the box because I didn't want to do setup.

    1. I still have a few minor issues but as long as I can use the phone when needed that's ok.

  11. You are right Yvonne. The phone is a necessity not a luxury anymore! Changing from one to the other may present some trying moments though!
